Lotus Works came highly recommended and I was not disappointed that I hired this company for a difficult job. Rarely have I been able to say certain things about a contractor such as:
1. The job was finished on time
2. The job came in under budget
(Unheard of in this business)
3. The project turned out great and
surpassed my expectations
I had dry rot and a leaky window due to the fact that I had no drainage system in my roof. This required extensive repair, and installing a new drainage system which would be visible in my main entry. Josef had to literally create a drainage system around a skylight as well. Other contractors I spoke with previously said it couldn’t be done without tearing out a huge skylight and part of my roof, which would have been a huge expense. The best surprise was that not only has the system worked, (I have been dry as a bone through the rainiest season ever) but.... my entryway looks so much better. It’s now cool looking “urban chic”. People actually notice how much better it looks. The job took two weeks and I had family visiting at the time. However, Josef was unobtrusive and a joy to work with as well as innovative and ethical. I would definitely hire him again.

We recently remodeled a portion of our late 60's home, focusing on a bath and laundry but extending to new wall and floor finishes in adjacent areas.
Josef was extremely easy to work with and an adept collaborator. He was involved in all aspects of the project, from design and material selection, framing, plumbing, electrical and beautiful finish carpentry. He is meticulous and has amazing attention to detail. He also turned out to be a talented problem solver when that was needed. We added several elements to the project which he took on gracefully even though it extended the time commitment.
Josef is extremely hard working and resourceful. The project turned out beyond our expectations and we would highly recommend him to anyone.
